CNES takes over the Marine Sector Lead for the second round of FIRE Focus Groups
At the beginning of 2022 FIRE established a new partnership with French National Centre for Space Studies – CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales) who is celebrating its 60 year anniversary in 2022. CNES takes the lead over from Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique who was the initial Marine Sector Lead from February 2020. FIRE will benefit from many synergies with CNES, especially its “Connect by CNES” programme which was created in 2018 to foster exchanges between the world of space and other sectors.
