FIRE Roadmap

The Strategic Roadmap reflects the research and innovation strategy, with the EC and Member State funding agencies in mind as the prime audience. The findings relating to medium- and long-term R&D needs are directly applicable to these organisations to help define or shape the funding frameworks (e.g. Horizon Europe and MS mechanisms) going forward. These can be used by these agencies for further refinement with stakeholders, and studied by companies and research institutes going forward, ensuring that the important long-term initiatives we identify are developed in the future.

This Strategic Roadmap is one of the key outputs from this project and will serve as the reference point for market input into the development and uptake of the EO sector-based products and services. While having governments as the key targets, the roadmap can also serve as an important reference document for business leaders in planning and realising EO-relevant innovation across a range of sectors.
