Save the date for the first FIRE Forum event!
16 June 2021, online
The FIRE Forum event will bring together a critical mass of actors from key sectors together with Earth Observation (EO) players to discuss potential benefits EO could bring to their sectors and which future EO capabilities are needed to address sectorial challenges. The event will be focused on discussing such challenges, showcasing solutions, and networking possibilities to exchange on new applications, new business opportunities, exciting visions of future products and services, and recommendations for future research and development of EO solutions. Showcases include findings from six sectoral Focus Group events (for the sectors of agriculture, energy, infrastructure, marine, urban development and raw materials), that were held during autumn and winter of 2020-2021 as part of the FIRE project. We would like to encourage users and professionals in particular from these sectors to join the conversation, validating current efforts and having their voice heard to further shaping Europe’s EO strategy and roadmap.
This FIRE Forum event will be the first out of the two, aiming to pinpoint current and future opportunities for EO uptake in each of the sectors. This year’s event will be held alongside ExpandEO, an annual conference organised by the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) and the most relevant event for EO companies to learn about market opportunities in specific sector and to engage with these sectors through networking and interactive sessions.
